College / Young Adult Ministry
Ministry Overseer: Elder Roderick Harrison
Ministry Director: Shebbie Coppage
Co-Chairperson: Martina Gargard
Co-Chairperson: Ebony Mouzone
Vision
To empower college students and young adults with the tools of prayer and the Word of God. To invite those students that do not yet know the Lord, to a relationship and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. To challenge those that have accepted the Lord as their Savior to a more committed walk with Him; to be seperated from the ways of the world in a world that encourages conformity. The ministry will help mold young men and women who are sold out for Christ in the prime of their lives so that they will live lives that honor their God and Creator through their bodies, minds and intellectual abilities!
Mission Statement
The college ministry will aim at equiping college students to become effective and relevant christians. The ministry will assist students in experiencing a close and personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The ministry will help the students to walk as the Lord has called them to without compromising the His standards with those of the world. The students will be challenged through Bible Study, prayer and other Bible-based activities to build a strong foundation in their christian faith. The ministry will aim at providing the students with a place where they can feel safe to discuss their fears and challenges without feeling threatened or judged; a place that will offer relevant Biblical teaching and guidance for their ages. The ministry's activities (Bible Studies, Prayer meetings and even church services) will be geared at challenging the students intellectually and bringing them to a place where they can understand what Paul meant when he said to the....."be ye seperate from them".
