Purpose

As David danced before the Lord to show reverence, worship and total submission, so do we propose to dance and minister to God’s glory. The body is an expressive tool and when disciplined by technique and instruction and guided by the simple desire to portray spiritual truths, yields a beautiful and powerful form of worship and ministry.

For centuries dance has been used to communicate expressions of joy, honor, reverence, and allegiance and to give visual interpretation to the inarticulate expressions of the heart. Why dance? Through dance, pantomime and sign interpretation, we pray to reach the inner man; to be used as instruments to touch the spirit and to help usher the congregation into the presence of the Lord. Why dance? To worship God with our whole selves: mind, thought, voice, body and soul!

What type of music? In this ministry, we will use a wide variety of Christian music: traditional gospel, contemporary, old Negro spirituals and Praise and Worship music. Our desire is to present a wide range of Christian music and dances that will minister to both young and maturing Christians alike.
